Costa Rica earthquake january 8 2009

A strong earthquake measuring 6.1 has hit Costa Rica , the earthquake hit just 22 miles from the capital San Jose sending frightened residents into the streets. The earthquake has caused minor damage in the capital there are no reports of casualties at this time.

She Was Invited to Attend Obama's Inauguration

Li Zizi, a 16-year-old girl in Experimental Foreign Language School at Chengdu, southwestern China, has be invited to witness the inauguration of US President Obama on January 20. Li has been invited by the US Congress due to her excellent performance in a forum on Global Youth Leadership held last year.

In August of this year, she had received the invitation which was sent by a department of the U.S. Congress.To her surprise, Being invited to participate in the inauguration ceremony,"I am extremely happy and very surprised to receive the invitation from the US Congress to attend the inauguration of the US president. I feel I am very lucky," she said. She Will spend five days in the United States from 17 to 21, Jan. and attend the middle school meeting from all over the world.We are told by her mother,that the reason mainly in August last year, she participated in New York and Washington's "Global Youth Leadership Forum," brought about the outstanding performance. At that time, through serious selection, she served as a leader of the team, about political, economic, and environmental protection, finance, and the world equal.She has left a deep impression to the U.S. Congress and was invited to participate in the new presidential inauguration ceremony.
